Your question makes no sense you ape. It depends on what you fucking need. Is it a start up where nothing matters, is there legacy shit, are you eccentric and use obscure shit.

there should a be modicum of essential requirements that constitute a competent and serviceable full stack developer

what are they

What is considered full stack nowadays it changes so fucking much?

Is that better clarified for you Mrs. pedantic thumbsucker?

No not really. Depends on business needs.

One major language (C++, Java)

Web shit (react, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, yarn, npm)

Db shit (sql, Postgres, json)

Random shit (jira, Jenkins, tomcat, spring, web services, postman, open shift)

thank you

What's best for basic core business functionality (ERP/ERM) -tracking sales, lead gen, text call integration, simple geolocation for team out in field/sales and integrating with equipment or other software with simple APIs running (vendor software/services, equipment, etc) and then converted that information to a graphical UI/UX interface for end user (both admin and consumer facing)?

How much would i be expected to pay this person hourly or per project with what I'm told is a 3-4 month build at least?

A decent freelancer without benefits is probably going to want $100 to $300 dollars an hour, so you'll be spending a lot. Basically anything beyond hello world is going to cost you tens of thousands of dollars.

ok thats roughly what i expected.

So no point in getting an in house guy for this?

Would 30-40K be reasonable for an american or comparable and not some Ukrainian or Indian slurping palak paneer on his computer?

If I hire someone in house what is considered decent for starting pay? Assume outside of NYC/SF/CHI/SEA/LA/Denver horseshit

You can probably glassdoor around to find market in your city, but I think $100k is a decent secondary market salary for an experienced full stack dev.

The good guys that would even understand an equity offer are not the type of guys that keep their mouth shut. They will have an opinion on every technical business decision made.

100% new development or is there code already down as a foundation

Because the two are very different and 100% new shit is kind of even more specialized imo

I'm almost positive there is a ton of free code to make a foundation with for the enterprise sales aside,

there are a lot of disparate pieces that need to be seamlessly glued together via programming

Tbqh I would be stealing what I can from vendors I have now or having this guy go in and see whats going on code wise and make our own version

Lol it doesn't matter if apis exist that can be utilized. There are configuration things that happen at step zero that a lot of programmers would struggle with who have more than enough experience to continue work on something that already exists
